CAP Rugby Debt Centre
Who we are
CAP Rugby's Debt Centre provides unique, in-depth, client-centred debt help by trained Debt Coaches, through face-to-face appointments in clients' homes. The Debt Centre was commissioned by Revive Churches Together in 2009 and seeks to share God's love and compassion through practical, expert financial advice; supported by the local churches in Rugby. In addition to free debt help, CAP Rugby also provides free money coaching for individuals and groups throughout the year.
Over the past 15 years of serving in our town, CAP Rugby has been contacted by over 400 households and cleared over 1.3 million pounds worth of debt. This number represents households that would otherwise be gripped by the unceasing cycle of debt and poverty; it represents the lifting of stress, fear and isolation caused by unmanageable debt.
We are funded through individual donors and local churches, and secured partial funding through WCC’s Councillor Grants to recruit additional Debt Coaches in 2025. Our fundraising efforts continue to cover our ongoing Centre costs and recruitment.
