Invite your friends and neighbours to join us through December in our online services.  Consider setting something up to bring “A Thrill of hope” to your road on the 20th December (similar to the socially-distanced VE day celebrations on our drives and front lawns). How? Carry out one of the following, or combine ideas with your own creativity:

ACTION

  • Bake mince pies and take them to a neighbour, to express the good nature of our God.  Perhaps take a Hope Magazine.  Follow social distancing guide lines.

  • You could facilitate carols from your doorstep for your neighbours to join together, like the NHS clap. For example, message your neighbours and arrange a time for you all to step outside. Play carols off a home speaker, using your favourite carols and Christmas songs, or the songs on the link below. Follow social distancing guide lines.

  • Facilitate a mulled wine and mince pies Christmas toast within your road, to wish each other well the season of good will. Follow social distancing guide lines.

  •  f we have reverted to Tier 1 rules and are allowed to have groups of 6 outdoors, do some Christmas carolling to neighbours with members of your Life Group, family or friendship group.

PRAYER

  •  Pray for your ‘people of peace’
